The Letshuoer S08 is a warm-tuned planar IEM that focuses more on musicality than raw detail. It offers deep, punchy bass with a thicker presentation, smooth and non-fatiguing treble, and rich, natural vocals. A great choice for long listening sessions and even gaming, thanks to its comfortable tuning and solid imaging.

Letshuoer S08

Letshuoer S08 is one of those IEMs that I didn’t expect much from at first… but yeah, it kinda surprised me. In this price range, most stuff either plays it too safe or goes all in with bright tuning just to sound “detailed”. This one didn’t do that. It went for a warm sound with a neutral kind of tone and timbre, and that’s actually not very common for a planar here. At first listen, it might not hit you like “wow”… but give it some time, it starts to make more sense.

Disclaimer

I got the Letshuoer S08 sent over by Letshuoer for review, just to be clear. Everything I’m saying here is just my own thoughts, nobody told me what to say or anything like that. They didn’t pay me either, just sent the unit, that’s all.

I’ve been using the Letshuoer S08 with my usual setup… tried different genres, some gaming too, and this is all based on what I heard and how I like my sound. So yeah… your experience might be different.

Box Contents

Nothing crazy going on here, you get the S08, a cable, some tips, and a carrying case, pretty standard stuff honestly. Not premium feeling or anything… but also not bad, it just does the job.

Build & Design

Build feels solid… like no complaints here. The shell doesn’t feel cheap, and the design is simple, not flashy or anything that stands out too much. It actually looks kinda clean in a good way, some people might find it boring… but I don’t mind this kind of design honestly.

Fit & Comfort

Fit was easy for me, I didn’t have to try too hard to get a good seal. It just sits nicely in the ear and there’s no pressure issues or anything annoying like that. Used it for long sessions… didn’t really feel discomfort, so yeah it’s comfortable enough.

Sound Impression

Now the sound… it’s warm, a bit bass elevated, but still keeps things kinda neutral overall. It doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard to show details or anything. More like you just play music and enjoy… that kind of tuning, not analytical but not dull either, somewhere in between.

Bass

Bass is honestly one of the first thing I noticed, it kinda reminded me of the Hidizs MP145 OG… not exactly the same but similar vibe. Sub-bass goes deep, you can feel it, and mid-bass has punch but it’s not aggressive or hitting too hard, it stays controlled. What I like is the thickness, it doesn’t sound like a typical planar bass, feels more like a dynamic driver sometimes. It doesn’t slam super hard… but it’s full and satisfying, works really nice with jazz or slower tracks, speed is okay, not the fastest, but decay feels natural so it doesn’t sound weird or dry.

Mids

Mids are actually pretty enjoyable here, male vocals got that weight, like a bit thick and warm, doesn’t sound thin at all which I really like. Female vocals are smooth, no shouty stuff, no sharp peaks, and I didn’t really notice any sibilance… which is a big thing for me. Instruments sound natural enough, maybe a little warm but not in a bad way, nothing feels off.

Treble

Treble is safe… that’s the best way to say it, it has some energy so it doesn’t sound dead, but it never gets sharp or harsh. No weird spikes, no fatigue, you can listen for long time and it stays comfortable, and if you hate sharp treble… you’ll probably like this.

Soundstage & Imaging

Stage is not super wide… yeah that’s one thing, but the depth is actually good and it gives a bit of layering feeling which I like more than just width. Imaging is solid, you can tell where things are, nothing feels confusing, not super technical or anything… but it does the job properly.

Pairing & Synergy

It’s not hard to drive… but still it sounds better with a decent source, with better DAC or amp bass feels tighter and background gets cleaner. Not a huge difference… but yeah noticeable enough.

Gaming Performance

I tried it with CS2, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, Battlefield, GTA V… and yeah it works pretty good, footsteps are clear, easy to track, gunshots don’t feel too sharp or annoying. Imaging helps here, positioning feels accurate most of the time, for gaming I’d say it’s solid.

Conclusion

The Letshuoer S08 is not one of those IEMs that tries to impress instantly, it’s more like you keep using it and then you realize it’s actually quite good. Warm tuning, smooth treble, nice bass, good vocals… everything just comes together nicely, it’s not the most technical set, not the most detailed, but it’s very easy to listen to, and honestly… sometimes that’s what matters more. If you want something relaxed, musical, and not fatiguing… this one is definitely worth a try.
